BIOGRAPHY
Annmari Olsson was educated at the Academy of Art, Konstfack Stockholm, Sweden. Annmari’s work is shown in galleries and museums through out Sweden. Her cartoon illustrations can also be found in a number of books, magazine and newspapers. What is your name and how would you briefly describe what you do? My name is Annmari Olsson/Reich and most of my surrounding I see in pictures. My characters in "Olsson" (long time running cartoon, in magazine Amelia) are focused on everyday life and what was found in small gestures, comments and relationship among people. In my illustrations for day and weekly press, the women stand out with subjects like health and lifestyle issues. I cut and paste as I please and finish the drawing in Photoshop. Do you have any hidden talents? I have a hard time keeping my fingers out of cement. I love building! What’s the best thing about working with you, from a client’s point of view? I am fast like a shooting rocket, mostly because I get tremendously inspired by a text and putting a picture to it. After more than 30 years of drawing, my pens are sharper than ever.
